If you're like me, diving into the world of automation with Zapier can be both exciting and, at times, a bit perplexing. Lately, I've been utilizing Zapier extensively, but there's one particular challenge that has been on my mind.

I wanted to trigger automation specifically when I update a single property in Notion.

However, a glance at the list of events left me initially thinking it wasn't possible.

The standard automation could be triggered when any item is updated in a database. But, here's the twist—I was wrong!

A filter is your key to only passing values that match a specific condition. But, here's a crucial insight: the Status property doesn't play well here. You'll need to switch your Status properties with the Select properties to make the magic happen.

But what if you find yourself dealing with multiple conditions? Fear not! In that case, a Path step comes to the rescue, enabling you to define and navigate through various conditions seamlessly.

And there you have it—your gateway to more precise and targeted Notion automations.

That's a wrap for today. Stay tuned for more insights next week!
