How the top CEOs manage their time

Nov 13, 2023

Hey there!

Ever wonder how top CEOs handle their chaotic schedules?

Tim Ferriss has created a podcast with Sam Corcos that I've watched and rewatched multiple times.

Yes, that's how good it was. If you're interested, here's the link.

In this newsletter, I’ll show you how to unlock the secret time management hacks of Sam Corcos, CEO at Levels!

Levels is an a16z-backed health tech company and Sam has been leading it for nearly 5 years.

During that time, he has learned how to optimize his work and time for maximum productivity.

Let's get right into it!

#1 Delegate tasks efficiently

If you feel that you can’t handle the workload, consider hiring a VA.

But what can a VA do for you?

They can answer comments and DMs on Twitter or Instagram.

They can also edit videos, just record a Loom video of yourself and they’ll be able to see on which parts of the video you focus the most and will be able to replicate it with 90% accuracy.

This does mean that it won't be perfect, but that's what you have to do in order to invest more time in high-value tasks.

#2 Ditch the task lists

The task lists can be infinite and this can get overwhelming really fast.

The better way is to schedule tasks in your calendar.

This limits you to the time you have in your day.

You can also schedule emails.

Basically, you read an email and schedule the time to answer it.

#3 Say No to unnecessary meetings

These are the meetings that take a lot of your time and energy.

Instead, record a Loom video.

Content scales better than time, so make sure to leverage it.

Once you record a video and share it with your team, people can rewatch it and ask you questions about that.

You can even use Loom videos when onboarding new employees.

I hope these tips will help you!

And, of course, if you have any feedback or suggestions please reply to this email, it means a lot. What do you want to read more or less of?

Have a nice day! 👋

Alex

The Second Brain Notion Template: I know you are busy. Most entrepreneurs are and most spend their time working in their business, not on their business. This template will help you free up your time and do what needs to be done.
The Sales CRM Notion Template: Sales is all about one single thing, follow-up. And you don't want to get into a negotiation for a big deal and forget something, or not follow up when you need to. Having everything in one place is crucial.
