Discover the $1,000 Secret
Sep 18, 2023
I remember seeing people on Twitter make $1,000 selling Notion templates. I was in disbelief. I really wanted to know who would buy Notion templates at all and how could I do the same.
Unfortunately, the advice I saw on Twitter wasn’t useful for me, it was too vague. Most people were like find your target audience, find a problem they have, create a template that fixes that problem, and promote it.
But where do I promote it? I knew I had to find my audience, I knew how to create templates that fix problems, and I’ve been doing that for years.
But the burning question was still there!
Where can I find those people?
And since I had to figure it out for myself, I want to share it with you.
In this newsletter we are going to talk about the best way to get traffic to your Notion templates whether you’re using Gumroad or building Landing pages for your products.
In the next newsletter, I want to share how I made templates that have been featured on some Notion marketplaces.
Now, let's dive in.
Notion marketplaces are the key to your growth
This is the secret right here!
Notion marketplaces are free traffic!
The num. 1 thing I did to make $1,000+ was submit my templates to the Notion template gallery.
In the image below, there’s a breakdown of my referrers and how much traffic as well as sales I’ve gotten. Keep in mind that this is only Gumroad and I use Lemon Squeezy as well, but they don’t have these reports.
As you can see, I’ve made $694.59 on Gumroad and around $100 on Lemon Squeezy just from Notion.
However, you don’t need to limit yourself to the Notion template gallery. Here are some others that can be useful for you:
Once you build an awesome template, just submit it to some of these marketplaces and you can track which one gets you the most traffic so you can double down on that one.
The only thing that’s stopping you from doing this is…
That your templates get rejected.
Here are a couple of reasons why that happens:
There are already a lot of similar templates
Some template submission guidelines haven’t been followed
It is not clear how the template will provide value to potential users
The template's purpose is too specific
So your job here is to create new one-of-a-kind templates that will spark interest in people who are reviewing them.
And this is what we’re going to cover in the next newsletter, so make sure you subscribe!

P.S. Whenever you're ready, there are 3 ways I can help you:
#1 The Second Brain Notion Template: I know you are busy. Most entrepreneurs are and most spend their time working in their business, not on their business. This template will help you free up your time and do what needs to be done.
#2 The Sales CRM Notion Template: Sales is all about one single thing, follow-up. And you don't want to get into a negotiation for a big deal and forget something, or not follow up when you need to. Having everything in one place is crucial.
