Answering your questions

Oct 2, 2023

Some of you had a couple of questions for me in the Twitter DMs, so now I’d like to make it public and allow everyone to read what I had to say.

Lets not waste any time and get right into it

#1: What’s your num. 1 tip for a newbie?

The num. 1 tip I’d have is defining your target audience.

This may sound generic, since everybody is talking about it, but have you ever asked yourself why is everybody talking about it.

Why do I need a target audience?

Well, multiple reasons:

  1. So you can create content for them

  2. So you now where to create content

  3. So you can align your messaging as well as website and landing page copy

And so many more, but these are the most important.

After you get this, it’ll be much easier.

#2: How do I price my Notion template?

This is a topic that can be discussed for hours.

But I don’t personally do that.

I don’t use a formula for calculating the ideal price.

However, what I do use is the amount of money I want to make, the number of templates I want to sell, and that’s how I get the ideal (again, in my opinion).

$40∗50=$1,000\($40*50=$1,000\)

#3: How to get testimonials?

Aah, one of the hardest questions I had to answer.

In short, deliver a lot of value to someone, so they feel stupid saying “No“.

Now for the explanation.

Help someone who’s building a template solve a problem they’re stuck on. For example, someone doesn’t know how to write a certain formula, you help them, chat for a while, give them a couple more tips, and just ask for a testimonial.

Another example. Let’s say you’re building a template, you need some feedback, so you reach out to a couple of your current customers or followers on Twitter and ask them to be your beta testers. That’s always a good way to get some testimonials for templates that you haven’t published.

Did I miss something?

Reply or comment to let me know what else should I write about.

If you got any value from this, make sure to share it with your friends. It means a lot to me.

Until then,

Alex

P.S. Whenever you're ready, there are 3 ways I can help you:

#1 The Second Brain Notion Template: I know you are busy. Most entrepreneurs are and most spend their time working in their business, not on their business. This template will help you free up your time and do what needs to be done.

#2 The Sales CRM Notion Template: Sales is all about one single thing, follow-up. And you don't want to get into a negotiation for a big deal and forget something, or not follow up when you need to. Having everything in one place is crucial.
